John Downing

John Downing is a seasoned attorney specializing in intellectual property litigation, with extensive experience in complex patent and policy matters. Currently a Partner at Kasowitz LLP since June 2014, John provides legal support in various technological domains such as cloud computing, software, and medical devices. Previously, John served as an Associate Attorney at Agility IP Law, focusing on patent infringement cases, and held similar roles at Sanders & Parks P.C., Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson & Haluck, and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, where responsibilities included arguing in federal court, conducting analyses, and drafting motions. John began his legal career as a Summer Associate while gaining early technical experience as an Electrical Design Engineer. John holds a JD from the University of Arizona and a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
