Derek Medlin has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Starting in 2003, they served as the Fleet Manager at Georgia State University, where they oversaw budgeting, planning, purchasing, maintenance, and reservations for the university's fleet of vehicles. Derek then worked at Ernst & Young Chile as an Audit/Business Risk professional from May 2005 to May 2006.

Additionally, they served as the Vice President of Mobile Commerce Products, successfully launching new point-of-sale products in the US and European markets.

Medlin joined Chase in 2014 as the Vice President of CAO - Strategic Programs, responsible for strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Derek then became the Executive Director of Client Implementations, overseeing the implementation of client solutions. From September 2016 to July 2017, they worked at J.P. Morgan as the Executive Director of Business Transformation, leading strategic programs and driving growth to enhance the client experience.

Most recently, Medlin joined Katapult in July 2017 as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and driving the company's growth and success.
