Freny Patel

Freny Patel has been working in the software engineering field since 2013. Freny began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Creative Innovation, where they worked on a website using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with a REST Framework. In 2016, they took on the role of IT Analyst Student Assistant at Florida International University-Division of IT, where they were responsible for troubleshooting system and network problems and setting up new user accounts. In 2017, they joined Katapult as a Backend Software Engineer, where they designed, developed, and maintained restful APIs and microservices written in Python. Freny was later promoted to Backend Software Engineer II and Technical Lead.

Freny Patel completed a Master's degree in Information Technology from Florida International University in 2016. Prior to this, they obtained a B.Tech(IT) degree in Information Technology from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in 2014. Patel also holds multiple certifications, including An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python (Part 2) and Database Management Essentials from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python (Part 1), Front-End Web UI Frameworks and Tools, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, R Programming, Using Databases with Python, Using Python to Access Web Data and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, and Shaping up with Angular.js from Code School.
