Robert E McLaughlin is currently the Vice President of Research at both the Institute for Life Science Entrepreneurship and Kathera Bioscience. Previously, McLaughlin held various positions at AstraZeneca R&D, including Principal Scientist and Team Leader, where they managed significant bioinformatics initiatives and contributed to antibiotic development. They also served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, directing informatics for DNA sequencing and leading research into pathogenicity. McLaughlin earned a PhD in Microbiology from Clemson University and a BS in Microbiology from the University of Maine.
