Kato.8 Studios is an independent game studio focused on building thoughtful, retro inspired games with modern design sensibilities. We prioritize strong foundations, sustainable development, and community involvement from day one.

Founded by a game producer with industry experience across development, publishing, and live operations, Kato.8 Studios was created to take a more intentional approach to game creation. Rather than rushing toward hype or premature releases, the studio is being built in public, emphasizing transparency, learning, and long-term creative integrity.

Our philosophy is simple:
great games come from strong fundamentals. With the right tools, the right process, and the right people, we are supported by a community that values the journey as much as the outcome.

What We Focus On:

Indie game development inspired by classic and retro design principles
Early prototyping and iterative design
Community-first studio building
Transparent development and decision-making
Sustainable creative practices over short-term trends.
