Born into a family steeped in the rich heritage of Carnatic music, Kaushal's musical journey began at home growing up with Veena players in the family. The Veena, a classical Indian plucked string instrument, is known for its immersive and intricate sounds of Carnatic music. Growing up with the instrument, Kaushal has dived deep into the ragas and talas from a young age, mastering the art of this ancient tradition. His exposure to the nuances of Carnatic music also helps him to deeply understand and appreciate the complexities of both Carnatic and Western music.

However, his insatiable curiosity and love for exploration led him to venture beyond his roots, embracing the captivating worlds of guitar, jazz, and funk. With a mind that thrives on Indian classical music and a heart that beats to the rhythm of diverse cultures, Kaushal has crafted a unique musical language that transcends genres and borders. His compositions are a tapestry woven from the threads of Carnatic melodies, jazz harmonies, and funk grooves, creating a sonic experience that is both familiar and refreshingly new.
