Athanasios Tzavaras

Athanasios Tzavaras is a Professor at KAUST, specializing in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Partial Differential Equations, Continuum Physics, and Kinetic Theory. They have held faculty positions at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Maryland, College Park. Tzavaras began their academic career as a Research Assistant Professor at Purdue University and served as a Professor at the University of Crete. They earned a Diploma in Naval Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens, followed by an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
