Burt Jones is a Professor at KAUST since 2012, specializing in biological oceanography, coastal processes, coastal water quality, ocean optics, and the coupling of biological and physical systems. Prior to this, Burt spent over three decades as a Professor at the University of Southern California from 1980 to 2012. Burt holds a Ph.D. in biological oceanography from Duke University and a B.S. in biological engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they are currently pursuing further studies in bio-engineering.
