Ibrahim Hoteit

Assosiate Professor, Earth Sciences and Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences

Ibrahim Hoteit is currently the Director of the Aramco-KAUST Marine Research Center and a Professor of Earth Sciences and Engineering as well as Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences. Ibrahim's research focuses on the integration of dynamical models and observations to simulate and predict geophysical fluid systems, specifically targeting the circulation and climate of the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf. Prior to this, Ibrahim served as a professor at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2013 and worked as a research scientist at Scripps Institution of Oceanography from 2004 to 2009. Ibrahim earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France, between 1998 and 2002.
