Mark Dimech

Mark Dimech is a Marine Director at KAUST, where they oversee marine initiatives and research. Their extensive experience includes working as a Technical Officer for the FAO, focusing on responsible fisheries management in the Eastern Mediterranean, and serving as a Resource Manager for the Maltese Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs. Mark contributed to marine ecology research as a Principal Environmental Biologist at Ecoserv Ltd. and has a rich academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Marine Ecology from Bangor University, as well as degrees from the University of Malta. They have also worked as an independent consultant, providing expert guidance on marine environment and fisheries issues.
