Simon Krattinger is an Associate Professor of Plant Science and currently serves as the Chair of the Plant Science Program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. They previously held the position of Assistant Professor of Plant Science at the same institution from 2017 to 2023 and were a Group Leader at the University of Zurich from 2013 to 2017. Simon completed a PhD in Botany/Plant Biology and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Zurich, where they studied from 2000 to 2009. Simon's early research included a postdoctoral fellowship at CSIRO from 2010 to 2012, focusing on plant genetics, genomics, and biotechnology.
