Yanda Meng

Assistant Professor

Yanda Meng has a strong background in machine vision and deep learning, beginning with an internship at Remark Holdings as a machine vision engineer focused on face recognition and verification. Following this, Yanda Meng contributed as a Research Assistant and later as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool, specializing in deep learning applications related to Covid-19. Additional experience includes research roles at the University of Oxford, addressing deep learning for endoscopy image segmentation, and a brief appointment at the University of Exeter as a Lecturer. Currently, Yanda Meng serves as an Assistant Professor at KAUST, with previous research involvement at the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool, working on mouse pose estimation and key point detection. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Engineering from Capital Normal University, a Master's in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Leeds, and a PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Liverpool.
