OUR MISSION: BRIDGING CULTURES AND CONTINENTS WITH MULTILINGUAL STORYTELLING THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE UNSEEN AND AMPLIFIES THE UNHEARD.

OUR VISION: ESTABLISHING A LEGACY AS ONE OF THE FOREMOST CREATORS OF CANADIAN ICONIC FILMS AND SERIES CELEBRATED FOR THEIR QUALITY AND CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE.

Kavalo Productions is a Canadian production company founded by Ania Jamila, dedicated to making films and series that travel, connect, and bring people together. Through deeply human, multilingual storytelling, Kavalo seeks to spotlight unseen narratives and create works that cross borders, both geographic and cultural, where the personal meets the collective and where individual stories become bridges between cultures and memories.

Rooted in Canada’s francophone landscape while firmly oriented toward the international stage, the company develops meaningful fiction and documentary projects. A polyglot who has lived across three continents, Ania brings a globally engaged perspective to Kavalo’s vision.

The team, predominantly female, strives to reflect the diversity of Canadian society, both in its makeup and in the voices it brings to the screen. By building lasting collaborations and international co-productions, Kavalo sees cinema and series as spaces of connection, resonance, and shared memory.
