Steve Hafner began their work experience as a Consultant at Marketing Corp of America in 1991, where they gained valuable experience. Steve then moved on to the Boston Consulting Group in 1997, serving as a Project Leader and showcasing their skills in creating effective presentations. In 2000, Hafner joined Orbitz, Inc. as EVP, Consumer Travel and Founding Team member, contributing to the company's growth and success. In 2004, they co-founded KAYAK and assumed the role of CEO, leading the company to be acquired by Booking Holdings for $2.1 billion. Hafner continued to pursue their entrepreneurial endeavors, becoming a Board Member at Trulia in 2013, where they witnessed the company's impressive achievements. Additionally, Hafner served as a Board Member at Blade LLC from 2014 to 2015, contributing their expertise in evaluating and funding startups. In 2015, they joined SeatGeek as a Board Member, providing advice to fellow entrepreneurs. Hafner's career also includes their current role as an Executive at OpenTable since 2019, where they are involved in reimagining the dining experience. Steve is also an Advisory Board Member at the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College since 2019. Throughout their career, Hafner has consistently demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation.

Steve Hafner obtained their BA degree in Economics and History from Dartmouth College between 1987 and 1991. Steve then pursued an MBA in Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University from 1996 to 1997.
