Ege Steens

Ege Steens has extensive experience in the banking and insurance sector, having worked at KBC Bank & Verzekering since 1996. Currently serving as Lead Data-Driven IT, Ege is responsible for overseeing the Data Layer IT team and the development of a new IT Data Lake on AWS. Previous roles at KBC included Department Head ICT, where responsibilities encompassed delivery activities for retail and corporate credits and managing KBC Asset Management programs and projects. Ege began a career focused on data management as a Programme Manager and Team Leader, leading Datawarehouse/ETL projects, and held various positions including Project Manager, Functional Analyst, and Internal Auditor. Ege holds a Master’s degree in Economics from KU Leuven.
