Started his career as investment manager for Investco NV (later KBC Private Equity NV). He has since 1998 been the managing director of the family-owned investment companies 3D NV and Ibervest NV. He currently serves as chairman of Atenor NV, and as independent director of Elia System Operator NV and Barco NV. He also holds board mandates in several privately owned companies. Mr. Donck is vice-chairman of the Vlerick Business School. He is also a member of Belgium’s Corporate Governance Commission.
