Gertjan Scheir

Dr. Gertjan Hilde Scheir holds a Master of Science in Physics from Ghent University and completed a PhD focused on glare metrics for non-uniform light sources at KU Leuven. Gertjan has experience as a science teacher and researcher, having collaborated with industrial partners such as Philips during their doctoral studies. Currently, Gertjan works as a Credit Risk Model Validator and Risk Advisor at vdk bank, while also serving as a Guest Professor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In addition to their professional pursuits, Gertjan is passionate about music and continues to study music theory and performance at the Conservatorium of Gent.
