Jan Degraer serves as the ICT Department Head for Application Development Services at KBC Bank & Verzekering since September 2007, having held various positions including Business and ICT Department Head for Markets and Team Leader for projects in financial markets. Responsibilities include leading the migration of the MX3 front office stream, designing a group-wide Murex platform, and developing new front office products on this platform. Prior to KBC, Jan Degraer was a Research Assistant at Ghent University, focusing on Ph.D. research and teaching subjects such as Java and XML, and worked as a Software Engineer at Language and Computing, designing a C library for latent semantic analysis.
