Walter Asma has extensive experience in the banking sector, having held various leadership roles at KBC Bank & Verzekering since October 1994, including Head of Credit Risk, Head of Product Management for Life Private Individuals, and Head of the Credit Department. Walter has also served as a Credit Advisor for Agriculture and Social Profit and as a Strategic Advisor for Retail Credits. Prior to this, Walter worked as a Research Assistant in Public Finance at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven from October 1992 to September 1994. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Economics, a Master in Finance and Accounting, and a Master in Economic Sciences, all obtained from KU Leuven. Walter's foundational education was completed at Sint-Jozefscollege Aarschot.
