Ed Tolson has held various roles throughout their work experience. In 2000, they worked as a Software Developer at Intelligent Trading Desk. From 2003 to 2008, they worked at Highbridge Capital Management, starting as a Software Developer and progressing to become the Head of Equity Technology and later, the Managing Director and Head of Software and Data Engineering.

In 2009, Tolson joined New York Angels as a Member, where they managed a portfolio of startup investments and provided technical and business due diligence. Ed remained with the organization until 2017.

From 2012 to 2015, Tolson was a Partner at Blue Basin Capital Management. In 2013, they also became a member of the Board of Directors at SureDone.

From 2014 to 2017, Tolson served as a member of the Advisory Board at EnerKnol. Ed then joined Citadel LLC in 2015 as the Director of Trading Technology, a position they held until 2017.

Since 2017, Tolson has been the Founder and CEO of Kbit, a cryptocurrency asset manager that specializes in high turnover, market neutral strategies. Under their leadership, the company has traded over $110 billion in volume and developed a proprietary technology platform connecting with major crypto exchanges.

Ed Tolson completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2001. Ed then pursued further education at MIT and earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2002.
