Chris Leaman is a Principal Coastal & Maritime Structural Engineer and the National Maritime Team Lead at KBR, Inc. since July 2023. Prior to this role, Chris served as a Research Associate and PhD Student at UNSW Water Research Laboratory from February 2018 to October 2023, focusing on enhancing regional-scale storm wave forecasting to mitigate inundation and erosion hazards along coastlines. Chris also held positions such as Principal Engineer for Coastal Infrastructure at Moreton Bay Regional Council and Senior Coastal Engineer at BMT. With a solid foundation in structural engineering for maritime structures, Chris has extensive experience in coastal, hydraulic, and hydrologic modeling, and has developed programming solutions for complex analyses. Chris completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Coastal Engineering at UNSW and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from The University of Queensland.
