Dr Mark Ellis

Dr. Mark Ellis is a highly experienced structural engineer with a career spanning over two decades. Dr. Ellis began as a Structural Engineer at Connell Wagner (Aurecon) from January 1996 to May 2000, followed by a tenure as a Senior Structural Engineer at GHD from May 2000 to May 2005. Dr. Ellis then served as a Senior Structural Engineer at Aurecon from May 2005 to February 2014 and transitioned to the academic role of Structural Lecturer and Program Director for Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of South Australia from February 2014 to July 2022. Recently, Dr. Ellis returned to consultancy as a Principal Structural Engineer at INNOVIS Consulting from July 2022 to September 2024 and is currently in the same role at KBR, Inc. Dr. Ellis holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with First Class Honours and a PhD in Structural Engineering, both from the University of South Australia.
