James Cody is an experienced aerospace engineering professional with a strong background in systems engineering and technical leadership. Currently serving as the NASA GSFC JPSS 3/4 Deputy Observatory Systems engineering and on-site technical lead at KBR, Inc. since December 2023, James previously held key roles at Sierra Lobo, Inc. as the NASA GSFC JPSS On Site Tech Lead, and at ViaSat Inc. as the Integration and Test Systems Engineer responsible for satellite payloads. James began a notable career at Orbital ATK as a Spacecraft Systems Engineer, where recognition included being awarded Rookie Engineer of the Year in 2004. Earlier experience includes various systems engineering positions at General Dynamics. James earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona.
