Kim Cates

Kim Cates is a seasoned data scientist currently employed at KBR, Inc., where they previously held the position of Sr. Data Scientist. In their earlier role as a Data Scientist, Kim built predictive maintenance models and developed a web application for generating predictions from unstructured text. Prior to joining KBR, they gained valuable experience as a Machine Learning Intern, where they implemented models for predicting delays in FAA data and developed a text classification model for Navy coding data. Kim also served as a Research Analyst Consultant at Seton Hall University, providing statistical guidance to PA students on clinical research projects. They earned a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from Seton Hall University and hold a Bachelor of Science from Towson University, where they graduated with departmental honors.
