Lara Hess

Lara Hess is an environmental planning, assessment, and approvals expert with over 20 years of experience in the environmental services industry. Lara holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Master's degree in Environmental Law from the University of Sydney. Currently, they serve as the Director of Environment, Engagement and Land at the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, and also as the Director of Environment and Planning at Water Infrastructure NSW. Previously, Lara held positions such as Planning and Approvals Manager at KBR, Inc. and Team Leader of Environment and Planning at Public Works Advisory, where they managed teams and oversaw high-quality environmental impact assessments.
