Stan Schaefer

Stan Schaefer is an accomplished Senior Executive Service (SES) leader who currently serves as the Program Manager for the Integrated Mission Operations Contract III at KBR, Inc. They have 29 years of hands-on mission operations experience, with a strong focus on safety, cost performance, and managing technical projects. Previously, Stan was the Chief Engineer at NASA's Mission Operations Directorate, where they led initiatives in human spaceflight operations. They also held several significant positions at NASA, including Deputy Program Manager for Integrated Mission Operations Contract II and Chief of the Space Transportation Vehicle Division. Stan earned a Master of Science in Space Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Wichita State University.
