Nitin Bhasin

Nitin Bhasin, CFA, currently serves as a Board Member for the CRE Finance Council since June 2025 and has held the position of Senior Managing Director and Global Head of CMBS at KBRA since March 2011. In this role, Nitin leads the commercial real estate ratings group, overseeing areas like private-label and agency CMBS, CRE CLOs, SFR, NPLs, SBC, and Re-Remic sectors globally. Responsibilities include developing credit models, managing credit ratings of CRE debt securities, and contributing to sector research. Prior experience includes consulting in real estate and asset finance, serving as Vice President at Acuity Knowledge Partners focusing on fixed income strategy, and holding a Vice President role in commercial real estate capital markets at Wells Fargo Securities. Nitin began a career in architecture, managing design and construction for various projects. Educational credentials include a CFA designation acquired from the CFA Institute, an MBA in Finance and Consulting from Wake Forest University, and a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Building Science from Panjab University.
