Irfan also played a crucial role in maintaining the service level agreement of 99% for operational team reporting.
Irfan then moved on to Qualcomm Inc, where they held various roles. As a Senior Network Engineer, they managed and maintained network systems for all employees, including LANs, WANs, intranets, and extranets. Their redesign of the Qualcomm enterprise solution network resulted in a $300,000 reduction in operational costs and achieved the business objective of 99.5% uptime.
In their role as a Senior IT Manager, Irfan led the design, implementation, and support of the global enterprise architecture for Qualcomm's online services, contributing to an annual revenue of $656 million. Irfan managed a team of 5 network engineers and ensured the communication network delivered services across the US with a 99.9% uptime SLA.
Their last position before joining KBS - Kellermeyer Building Services, LLC was as a Staff IT Manager at Qualcomm. Here, they managed large-scale IT projects, including mergers and divestitures worth $800 million. Irfan also provided design, implementation, and support for Qualcomm’s global data center networks, serving over 200,000 servers and 35,000 users.
At KBS - Kellermeyer Building Services, LLC, Irfan serves as the Vice President of Information Technology. Irfan leads the strategy, design, implementation, and support for various IT projects and programs. Notable achievements include designing and implementing a time management system for thousands of employees and contractors, resulting in a yearly $1 million increase in the company's bottom line. Irfan also oversaw the implementation of cloud infrastructure for the mobile workforce, delivering significant capital and operational cost savings.
Irfan S. obtained a Master's degree in Architecture-based Enterprise Systems Engineering from UC San Diego in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University in 1999-2000. Their undergraduate education was completed at NED University of Engineering and Technology, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Complete System from 1994 to 1999.
