Alex Smith

Alex Smith is currently the Managing Director at KBW, a position held since 2022. Previously, Alex served as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley from 2006 to 2012 and held roles including Managing Director and Head of UK, Irish & Nordic FIG at Mediobanca from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Alex was Head of UK M&A at Santander Global Corporate Banking from 2017 to 2022 and Vice President at Merrill Lynch from 1999 to 2006. Alex began their career as an Analyst at CIBC World Markets in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from The University of British Columbia in 1998.
