KCPR Programming and Music Director at KCPR

Liv Collom is the current Programming and Music Director at KCPR, a Cal Poly Radio station. Liv started their career as a Programming Intern at KCBX, an NPR member station, in January of 2022. There, they were responsible for creating music beds, coordinating and posting social media content, organizing and curating the station music library, gathering listener and underwriter testimonials for air, and creating news wraps to air on All Things Considered and Morning Edition segments. In April of 2021, they began working as a Fact Checker for Diablo Magazine, a Bay Area arts & culture magazine. There, they worked remotely to fact check stories, conducting phone conversations with sources to confirm information, correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation errors in stories, and informing the managing editor and story writers of changes. From August of 2020 to May of 2021, Liv was a Content Writer for .wav zine. And prior to that, they were a News Reporter for KCPR Cal Poly Radio. Liv got their start in the working world as a Sales Associate for Crossroads Trading from June of 2018 to August of 2019.

Liv Collom received their Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a Spanish minor from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Liv also attended Saint Mary's College High School.
