Alec Mitchell

Alec Mitchell is an experienced digital solutions architect and senior software engineer with a robust background in web application development and IT consulting. Currently serving at KCRW since November 2007, responsibilities include CMS optimization and the development of web service APIs. Concurrently, Alec has been a senior full stack web developer and ops specialist at Jazkarta since 2010, specializing in Plone CMS, Django, and Amazon EC2 cloud deployments. As a self-employed web application developer since June 2001, expertise encompasses Python, Zope, and Plone optimization. Previous roles include systems engineer for the Inscriptifact Project at the University of Southern California and contributions to the Plone community as a framework team member and release manager. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science degree in Physics from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Mathematics from Columbia University.
