Peter Gilstrap

Peter Gilstrap is an experienced radio producer and freelance reporter currently working at KCRW and KQED. At KQED, Peter writes, produces, and narrates radio stories focused on California culture. Additionally, Peter has served as a script writer and researcher for Wondery, contributing to historical series, and has produced and written for the podcast Beyond Recognition at Audio 99. Previous roles include writing for E! Entertainment, serving as a senior entertainment reporter at Nashville Tennessean, co-founding and leading GM Productions, and working as a columnist and music editor at New Times Los Angeles and Phoenix New Times. Peter also has a background in journalism from The Washington Post. Peter holds a degree from The George Washington University.
