Steve Chiotakis

Steve Chiotakis is an experienced journalist and radio host with a career spanning over three decades. Since 2012, Chiotakis has served as the daily afternoon host at KCRW, providing insightful interviews and information to a connected audience. Prior to this role, Chiotakis hosted the Marketplace Morning Report with American Public Media from 2008 to 2012, where the program expanded its reach to over 360 radio stations and attracted a weekly audience of more than 6 million listeners. From 1996 to 2008, Chiotakis was a key voice at WBHM, hosting the local segment of NPR's Morning Edition. Earlier in the career, Chiotakis worked as News Director at Dick Broadcasting Company from 1994 to 1996, and as an anchor/reporter for Ameron Broadcasting from 1990 to 1993. Chiotakis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies with a focus on Journalism from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
