Michael Pyne has a diverse work experience that spans over many years. Michael is currently serving as the Prospective Deputy Branch Head for Enlisted Personnel Plans and Policy at the Chief of Naval Personnel. Michael also served as the Deputy Branch Head for IT Platforms & Infrastructure, where they led the acquisition of cost-effective commercial hosting solutions for the Navy's HR business. Additionally, they served as the IT Requirements Officer for Data, Cloud, and Enterprise Support, playing a crucial role in advancing the Navy's HR Information Systems.
Pyne also held positions as the Deputy Chief of Strategy in the Chief of Naval Personnel's Strategic Actions Group, the Intelligent Workbook Coordinator for OPNAV N100C, and the Deputy N14 for Pay/Personnel Management. Michael Pyne has an extensive education history. Michael obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College from 2013 to 2014. Following that, they earned a Certificate of Completion in Operations Research (Systems Analysis) from the Naval Postgraduate School from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the College of Charleston, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. Michael'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of North Florida, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004.

Before that, they completed the "Joint Professional Military Education – Phase I" program at the Naval War College in November 2014. In August 2011, they obtained the "Master Training Specialist" certification from the Naval Education and Training Command. In November 2010, they received the "Screened for Submarine Department Head" certification from the Submarine/Nuclear Officer Assignments (PERS-42) at the Naval Personnel Command.
