Luisma Torres

Luisma Torres is currently a Principal System Architect at KD, leading advancements in 10 Gbps Optical Communication systems for automobiles and home networking. They received a B.S. and M.S. in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad de Málaga in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and are pursuing a PhD focused on Compressed Sensing and new sampling methods applied to communication systems. Previously, they played a pivotal role at DS2 and Marvell Semiconductor, managing teams and contributing to the development of various communication technologies and standards. Luisma also serves as Vice Chair of the Open Alliance TC7 and Chair of IEEE 802.3dr, demonstrating their leadership in the field.
