Drew Daniels has extensive work experience in the field of information security and technology. Drew is currently serving as the VP/Chief Information Security Officer at Secureframe, where they lead security programs, engages with customers and the community, and provides direction for product development and market strategies.

Prior to this role, Drew was an Angel Investor at SVCI - Silicon Valley CISO Investments, where they advised and invested in various security-focused companies such as Orca. Security, Tonic, Cyral, Tronzo, Lucidum, Incode, Island, and Wing. Drew also served as a Non Executive Director and Investor at Keepabl.

Drew's advisory and investment roles extend beyond SVCI, as they have also advised companies like Normalyze, Safebase, Riscosity, and Divvy (Homes) in addition to their advisory work through SVCI. Drew has invested in companies like Chainguard, Balkan.ID, and several others.

Previously, Drew served as an Angel Investor and Tech Advisor at Berkeley Angel Network. Drew also held leadership positions at Druva, where they served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and at Qubole, where they were the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO). At Qubole, they were responsible for various areas including global information security, governance, risk management, compliance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response.

Before that, Drew worked at ClearSlide, Inc. as the Head of Security, Compliance & Privacy (CISO). In this role, they led security, compliance, and privacy functions and was accountable to the executive team for the company's security objectives.

Drew's career also includes a tenure at Microsoft, where they joined as the Director of Network & Security Engineering through the acquisition of Danger, Inc. Drew worked on technical engineering projects to ensure compliance and alignment of acquired companies such as Danger, Fast Search, TellMe Networks, Navic, Multimap, and Skype.

Their earlier experience includes serving as the Head of Information Security/Chief Security Architect at Shutterfly, Inc., where they were responsible for addressing security, privacy, compliance, and risk concerns across the company and developing physical security and life safety programs.

Drew Daniels completed their undergraduate studies from 1992 to 1996 at Indiana University Bloomington, where they earned a degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Criminal Justice and Political Science. In terms of additional certifications, Drew obtained the Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium in August 2003. Drew also obtained various certifications related to network security, computer forensics, and internet security from Brainbench in 2001, 2002, and 2007 respectively. Additionally, Drew obtained certifications in Introduction to (Business) Operations Management from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School (Coursera) in October 2013 and Internet History, Technology and Security with Distinction from the University of Michigan (Coursera) in August 2013.
