Fer Torres

Fer Torres has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Fer is currently working at Keepler Data Tech as an Agile Delivery Manager and Scrum Master. Prior to this, they were at Secret Source where they served as a Scrum Master and Project Manager. From 2019 to 2021, Fer worked at HYVE - the innovation company as a Project Team Lead and Senior Software Developer, where they gained experience in developing new products and services with a focus on agile methodologies.

In 2012, Fer founded their own company, Bicompatible, where they served as a Co-founder, Manager, and Project Team Lead. Fer guided small-size teams in building software products and services, while also specializing in UX improvements and utilizing new web technologies. Additionally, they worked as a Mentor, Speaker, and Facilitator during this time.

Fer also has past experience as an IT Teacher at IFES Instituto de Formación y Estudios Sociales, and as a UX Developer at fertorres.com. Fer worked at Bittia as a Software Developer, managing small teams and helping customers promote their brands online.

Earlier in their career, Fer worked as a Software Developer at Clevernet, where they contributed to the development of a social network website for US students. Fer also worked as a Software Developer at Grupo Domingo Alonso, where they developed a desktop application for Dealer Management and Vehicles Import for Canary Islands' Volkswagen Group branch.

Their earliest experience as a Software Developer was at DESIC S.L., where they gained foundational skills in software development. Overall, Fer's work experience showcases their expertise in agile methodologies, project management, software development, UX improvements, and team leadership.

Fer Torres has a comprehensive education history that spans various fields and disciplines. In 1998, they began pursuing a Technical Degree in Software Development at IES El Rincón, which they completed in 2000. Following this, they enrolled at IES Feria del Atlántico from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a Technical Degree in IT Systems.

In 2009, Fer decided to further broaden their education and attended the Official Language School of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, earning a B2 English Language, Advanced Certification. This language certification shows their dedication to developing strong communication skills.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Fer joined the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. in 2012. Fer is currently pursuing a Grade in Psychology and expects to complete their studies in 2024. This educational path indicates their interest in understanding human behavior and the mechanisms behind it.

To complement their formal education, Fer has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. These include becoming a Certified Lean Inception Facilitator® (CLF®) through Caroli.org in April 2023, earning the Lean Change Agent (Explorer) certification from Lean Change in March 2023, and completing the Management 3.0 Foundation Workshop provided by Management 3.0 in December 2022.

Furthermore, Fer has demonstrated their expertise in project management and agile practices by obtaining certifications such as Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) from Kanban University in July 2022 and Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in July 2021. Fer has also furthered their knowledge in the field of software development by completing the Agile Software Development course offered by ETH Zürich in September 2020.
