Fraser Kitchell

Cofounder and CEO at KEF Robotics

Fraser Kitchell has a wealth of experience in robotics research, development, and commercialization. In 2018, they co-founded KEF Robotics, a software startup based in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to that, they were the Director of Future Missions and Technology, Program Manager, and Manufacturing Engineer at Astrobotic from 2013-2018. From 2013-2012, they were a Graduate Student in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. From 2008-2007, they were an Energy Analyst and Project Coordinator at McKinstry. In 2007, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Amherst College. In 2005, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Washington, researching cataracts in lab mice and attempting to find medications which disrupt their formation.

Fraser Kitchell received a B.A in Biology from Amherst College in 2007, having attended from 2002-2007. Prior to that, they attended The Lakeside School from 1998-2002. In 2012, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Energy Science Technology and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
