Keiken (経験), meaning “experience” in Japanese, is an artist collective led by Hana Omori.
Keiken pioneers a collaborative approach to creating immersive worlds through embodied storytelling, empathetic technologies, and deep world-building. Working across games, film, installation, and performance, their practice develops interconnected experiences that prototype speculative futures and explore new modes of perception and connection.

Founded in 2015, Keiken operates internationally, collaborating with artists, technologists, researchers, and diverse communities. Their practice is grounded in long-term research, lived experience, and alternative ways of knowing, bringing together philosophy, science, accessibility research, and speculative design to imagine new paradigms for interaction and existence.

What We Do

Worldbuilding & Speculative Futures
Keiken designs immersive narrative universes and experiential systems that explore perception, society, and future forms of consciousness.

Embodied & Immersive Experience
Through sensorial and embodied methodologies, Keiken creates environments that blur the boundary between participant and observer, prioritising physical presence, affect, and intuition.

Lived Experience & Non-Human Perception
Keiken integrates marginalised perspectives and non-human modes of sensing into their work, including long-term research with Deaf-Blind collaborators and accessibility-led design practices.

Selected Projects

Morphogenic Angels
An evolving game and world-building universe set 1,000 years in the future, exploring transformation, energy, perception, and collective consciousness.

Spirit Systems of Soft Knowing
A large-scale installation exploring intuition, energy, and embodied knowledge as alternative technologies.

Beyond individual works, Keiken develops their own tools and empathetic technologies, integrating XR, AI, and immersive systems into artistic research and production.
