Derek Smith

Derek Smith has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. From 2006 to 2015, they worked in various roles at DHL Supply Chain, including IT Director, Application Integration, IT Team Leader, IT Sr. Analyst, IT Architecture Analyst, IT Support Analyst, and System Implementation Analyst. During this time, they were responsible for successful delivery and support of application integration solutions, managing teams, and maintaining infrastructure. In 2015, Derek joined Kenco Group as an IT Director before being promoted to Vice President of Information Technology in 2021. Prior to their career in IT, Derek worked as a Financial Advisor at New York Life Insurance Company and as a Computer Lab Consultant at The Ohio State University.

Derek Smith attended The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business from 2000 to 2004, earning a BSBA degree with a focus on IT, Finance, and Economics. Derek later went back to the same institution from 2009 to 2011 to complete an MBA with a specialization in Business Management.
