The Kendall Square Orchestra (K²O) is a Boston-based ensemble at the intersection of artistic excellence, scientific innovation, and civic purpose. 

Drawing musicians from the region’s leading laboratories, universities, hospitals, and technology companies, the orchestra brings together individuals who have pursued parallel paths at the highest levels of both music and their professional fields. This distinctive model produces performances of uncommon intensity and precision while reflecting the intellectual vitality of Greater Boston’s innovation community.

Led by Music Director Kristo Kondakçi, K²O presents a curated season of major symphonic repertoire at Sanders Theatre, pairing masterworks with thematically driven programming that speaks to the defining questions of our time. The orchestra’s projects frequently extend beyond the concert hall through collaborations with researchers, clinicians, and thought leaders, positioning orchestral music as a forum for reflection, dialogue, and interdisciplinary exchange.
