John Wittkowski

John Wittkowski has a diverse background in public information, security, and education. From September 2019 to September 2023, John served as the Public Information Officer for the Grand Rapids Police Department, managing media relations and community engagement. Currently, John holds the position of Security Coordinator at Kent ISD, aiming to enhance emergency preparedness plans for Region 1 schools. Additionally, John has over 17 years of experience as a Security Consultant at CommTac Solutions, providing expertise in physical security. John is also an Adjunct Professor at both Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University, teaching Criminal Justice Theory and Practice and Criminal Justice Policy, respectively. John holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Management in Organizational Leadership and an MBA in Human Resources Management from Aquinas College, a BBA in Finance/Commercial Law from Western Michigan University, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Michigan State University.
