Les Newman

Les Newman has extensive experience in engineering and consulting, currently serving as Managing Director for Engineering & Consulting at Kent plc since July 2021, where responsibilities include leading strategies for decarbonising energy operations in the UK and Europe. Prior to this role, Les Newman held various positions at Atkins from September 1997 to July 2021, including Regional Director and Market Director for Offshore & Onshore Energy, overseeing client relationships and maximizing asset value in energy systems. Early career experience included a role as a Civil Engineer at British Rail, focusing on the design and construction of critical infrastructure projects. Les Newman holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University and completed a program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2015.
