Sungwon Kim is an experienced Structural and Ocean Engineer with a decade of expertise in designing, analyzing, and validating offshore and marine structures. Currently serving as a Naval Engineer at Kent, they develop methods for applying hydrodynamic loads in simulations and perform frequency-domain analyses of floating structures. Previously, they worked as a Research Specialist at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology, where they led a cross-disciplinary research project and conducted structural analysis for tidal power generation systems. Sungwon holds a Master of Engineering in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and is pursuing further studies in Environmental Engineering at Kyung Hee University.
