Tom Ballantine

Tom Ballantine is a Senior Naval Architect at Kent, where they focus on marine structures and the acceleration of the energy transition through floating offshore wind projects. Previously, Tom earned a Master of Engineering in Ship Science from the University of Southampton and has held various engineering roles, including Director/Consultant Engineer at Ballantine Engineering Ltd and Ballantine Arnold Ltd. Their experience includes designing lightweight composite structures for high-performance sailing yachts and conducting tow-tank testing on hydrofoils. Tom also gained valuable insights during their time as a Summer Intern at the University of Southampton and as a Graduate Structural Design Engineer at Gurit.
