William Ritchie is a seasoned corrosion and materials engineer with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Principal Materials & Corrosion Engineer at Kent since June 2023, Ritchie previously held the role of Corrosion Team Leader at Vysus Group from November 2020 to June 2023, following a similar position at Lloyd's Register Energy from December 2013 to October 2020. Ritchie's expertise includes corrosion engineering services, risk-based inspection methodologies, sour service assessments, and technical integrity management for both new and in-service process equipment. Earlier career experience includes a position as Metallurgist at Element Materials Technology, where Ritchie conducted failure investigations and root cause analyses for the oil and gas sector. Ritchie holds an MSc in Subsea Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
