Ahmad Ehsandar

Mechanical-Thermal Design Engineer at Kepler Communications Inc.

Ahmad Ehsandar has extensive experience in mechanical design engineering. Ahmad started their career in 2006 as a Mechanical Designer at Cheelan Promotive Technology, where they gained experience in structural design for automotive and aerospace industries using CATIA V5 and SolidWorks. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Designer at Cheelan Promotive Technology, where they oversaw a design group, managed the design process, and provided technical assistance to design engineers.

In 2012, Ahmad joined the Centre for Intelligent Antenna and Radio Systems (CIARS) as a Senior Design Engineer. Ahmad designed various prototypes for different research groups, including pneumatically powered devices and high voltage E-field generators.

From 2014 to 2022, they worked at C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. as a Senior Design Engineer, where they led the design, modeling, and prototyping of the Satellite-On-The-Move (SOTM) antenna. Ahmad also developed a motorized test-bed for measuring antenna patterns, performed load studies, and participated in CAD design and drafting processes.

Currently, Ahmad is working as a Mechanical-Thermal Design Engineer at Kepler Communications Inc., where they apply their expertise in mechanical and thermal design.

Ahmad Ehsandar has a strong educational background in the field of engineering and biomedical sciences. Ahmad completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc) in BioMedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2007 to 2010. Ahmad further advanced their education and obtained a Ph.D degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, which they completed from 2010 to 2015.
