Ed Timms

Ed Timms is the Executive Editor at KERA, where they lead the newsroom serving the fourth-largest population area in the United States. They oversee collaborations with the Fort Worth Report and The Dallas Morning News while managing KERA's statewide reporting initiatives. Previously, Timms headed KERA's government accountability team and significantly improved online readership during their tenure at Roll Call. Their extensive experience includes investigative reporting that garnered national attention, including research cited by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Timms has also shared their expertise in journalism through teaching and mentoring young reporters.
