Sam Williams

Sam Williams has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sam started their career as a Checkout Supervisor at Pak'n Save/New World from November 2004 to March 2010. Sam then worked as a Mobile Nerd at Need A Nerd from September 2011 to October 2013. Following that, Sam joined Roam Creative as a Software Developer, where they developed mobile apps for Android and iOS platforms, including backend API servers, from July 2013 to May 2015.

In 2015, Sam joined EROAD as a Java Developer, responsible for developing and maintaining Java-based applications. Sam later transitioned into a Mobile Developer role in November 2015, specializing in mobile application development. From December 2017 to November 2020, Sam served as a Development Team Lead at EROAD, leading a team in software development projects.

Currently, Sam is working at Kernel as Head of Technology and Chief Technology Officer, positions they assumed in November 2020 and December 2022, respectively.

Sam Williams attended The University of Waikato from 2008 to 2014. During this time, they pursued a combined degree program, graduating with a BCMS(Hons)/ BMS degree. Their field of study focused on Software Development and Strategic Management.
