Johnson is the founder and CEO of Kernel, a startup that is building AI-powered hardware and software to accelerate the research and development of cures for brain diseases. Bryan is also the co-founder of OS Fund, a venture capital firm that invests in companies working on breakthrough technologies.
Prior to launching Kernel, Johnson was the founder and CEO of Braintree, a payments processing company that was acquired by eBay/Paypal in 2013 for $800 million. Bryan bootstrapped the company for its first five years of operations, during which time it was named one of the fastest growing companies in America by Inc. Magazine.
Johnson has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Bryan Johnson received their MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and their BA from Brigham Young University.
